THREE.JS / FOUNDATIONS / SOURCE PROMOTION

A solid cut, not a hole.

The source-shaped route writes one stencil bit per clipping plane, then renders material caps where each bit is set. The clipped torus knot and its solid pink cuts remain separate render-order responsibilities.

Ownership boundary

ClippingGroup owns native clipping and the stencil bits own the caps; Inspector is opt-in via ?inspector=1.

Pinned three@0.185.1 does not export the official SunLight family, so the route uses an explicitly labeled SpotLight/AmbientLight substitute. The separate WebGL clipping lab, exact cap topology/pixels, broad matrices, and whole-example fidelity remain separate.

Initialization issue

Derived from the official WebGPU Clipping Stencil example and its pinned stencil/cap graph. Use ?backend=webgl for the explicitly labeled reference lane.
