THREE.JS / FOUNDATIONS / SOURCE PROMOTION

Life, smoke, and fire.

The official particle example gives smoke and fire separate instanced sprite materials. A shared lifetime range drives position, scale, rotation, color, and opacity; the fire geometry also demonstrates an indirect draw command.

Ownership boundary

range(), time, texture(), sprite materials, fire indirect draw words, controls, and renderer are owned by this route.

The local deterministic texture substitutes for the official smoke PNG. Exact random/pixel presentation, Inspector layout, broad device/compiler/backend matrices, performance generalization, stress behavior, and whole-example fidelity remain separate.

Initialization issue

Derived from the official WebGPU Particles example. Use ?backend=webgl for the explicitly labeled CPU reference or ?inspector=1 to opt into native Inspector controls.
